Green Day signs for Rock Band
First batch in July. Exclusive.
Harmonix has signed exclusive rights to reproduce Green Day songs in Rock Band.
The first batch of punk rock arrives 7th July and contains "21 Guns", "Know Your Enemy" and "East Jesus Nowhere" from new album 21st Century Breakdown. Additional packs will be revealed further down the line.
Green Day shot to fame with album Dookie in 1994, pumping out punk pop toe-tappers like "Basket Case". A decade later, a darker-eyed and more political Green Day resurged with album American Idiot.
Various critical opinions on 21st Century Breakdown can be found on Metacritic, which averages scores at 74 per cent.

+1 bajillion points. I would pay many times the usual price just for one of their songs.

Absolutely dreadful band.

Weren't Green Day one of those bands who bitched about these games not being the real thing and a waste of time and hence refusing to support them? Or am I thinking of someone else?

The highlight however was them asking if any fans in the audience could play guitar a dude was hauled on stage and asked how long he had been playing guitar.
One week was the response, anyway they gave him a guitar and asked him to play some specific song, well he was better than the band member and was running over the stage making high jumps whilst playing and not missing a beat he was having a ball.
Meanwhile the band were looking around at each other like a party of role-players do when they decide one one of them is going to be murdered for some transgression.
So they stopped him and informed us he was going to perform a stage dive and two of them threw him into the crowd.

That made me chuckle, and I'm not sure why. Obscure, to say the least
