GDC promises Fable 2 reveal
Molyneux to speak (unusual!)
Lionhead's Peter Molyneux will be speaking at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco in March - and he's promising to let us all in on one of Fable 2's big secrets.
You may remember last year that Molyneux was almost painfully eager to tell us about things happening in Fable 2, but somehow managed to stay his tongue. He later exhibited similar squirming in other interviews.
Well, it sounds like he's finally going to let it all out. Apart from delivering a talk about how Fable 2's development has proceeded ("When attempting to create a sequel the temptation is to add more of everything but is this enough?"), Molyneux "has promised to reveal a totally unexpected feature in Fable 2".
We'll be sure to pop our heads in and heckle him. And then report what he says.

...you have to press the LB button to breathe in, and the RB button to breathe out.
And time flows as you play so much, that you actually evolve as you play through...
I'll get me coat...

"It could be a masturbation minigame involving furious stick waggling and rythmic trigger pumpage"
Perhaps also a "Going Blind" risk, with the 3 CPUs and GPU of the xbox 360 being the only console that can properly simulate blindness in hi def.....

Genius!
But you know what would be even better? The Consolevania Peter Molyneux as the paperclip, rather than the real one!

Actually, multiplayer (as already suggested) doesn't seem too unreasonable a possibility.
I don't think it will be that though. Multiplayer is a proper, tangible feature and that isn't the PM way. My best guess it will turn out to be that your character can have kids *, or some other perfectly wooly and eventually pointless feature.
Don't get me wrong, I really liked Fable, but the whole "you can be good or bad" mechanic, sold as some brave new world, was in the end a poor cousin of similar mechanics that have been better implemented in previous titles.
Seriously, how much difference did it actually make to the game experience? Almost completely none, I would suggest.
Come on PM, prove me wrong, give us a feature that might this time actually qualify as "original and worthwhile".
*Either that or gunpowder.

Side Meier is in another league! Sid not just designed his games, he coded them and did the artwork for them.

I was only asking!
You made it sound like I'd accused Sid of sleeping with Peter...

I also think that multiplayer is a reasonable suggestion, since there was meant to be one in the first game, which was dropped late on due to time constraints.
