EA trademarks Darkspore name
The Darth Vader side of Spore?
EA has been spotted trademarking the name Darkspore.
A total of three trademarks have been filed, and were found by superannuation.
Is this the TBA Spore title EA announced during a recent financial report? That game, "Spore Title TBA", is planned for Q4 FY11 (between January - April 2011).
We may find out more during tomorrow's EA earnings call, which will discuss the whole of last year and the road that lies ahead.

Regardless, I would love another Spore. The last one, provided you had the expansion pack, was actually pretty awesome.

I couldn't agree more, I absolutely loved the idea but it's implementation left me very disappointed.
I don't know whether the concept was too ambitious or they simplified it for wider appeal.
Whatever the reasons it was far from the game I was expecting.
