EA dates MMA fighting game

Hopes UFC the difference.

EA Sports' MMA will be released on 19th October, according to a video shown at a press event this evening.

That's a Tuesday, so an American date. European plans will be forthcoming.

MMA is in development for PS3 and Xbox 360. Eurogamer got a good look at the game back in November.

Two people doing as nature intended.

    Pun fail.

Shouldn't 'Hopes you UFC the difference ' be 'Hopes UFC the difference'?

Aye, I love terrible puns. Can't get enough of them me, but that one is truly something else Rob. A true car crash.

Randy Couture... Fedor Emilianenko... they enter the ring...

Which one is which? Are they twins, seperated at birth?

    Fedor feared as Unbeatable?

    Tell Werdum.

I am guessing this promo is old and was probably shot when Randy left the UFC.

Fedor has now been beaten but for me he is still the best Heavyweight on the planet, made a silly mistake and got beat from it.

"They say he can't be beat."

Well I say that they have terrible grammar. It's 'beaten': 'They say he can't be beaten'. I despair of the future of our language when major publishers can't be bothered with using correct English.

Anyway, if these guys were really trying to prove they were the ulitmate fighter then they'd just be going to knee stamps - someone that size would go down like a bag of spuds if you were allowed to use those kind of moves on them. I've always found the UFC/MMA rules a bit amusing - I can understand that they're trying to not cripple their opponents, fine, but it's not really a true test of martial skills if the techniques that would really win you a life-or-death fight are banned.

i get your money back on whoever 'they' are and the advice they hand out, Fedor was 'beat' a couple of weeks ago

    Is that a snub-nosed Uzi?

This looks horrible compared to UFC 2010, but they have Fedor. now that's a conundrum
  • kobashi #13 2 years ago

UFC 2010 was average at best. Boring career mode and a game that was basically 2009.1.

I am looking forward to EA MMA. Yeah it wont be as polished as the UFC games but it will be EA's first effort. I wish they would of signed more fighters though. There is so many fighters in Japan who EA have ignored!

I am guessing they will put people like sakuraba on DLC.

Christ, those last moments of voiceover were terrible. The voiceover during the movie was quite good, but then on the final screen it all went downhill.
