Countdown clock appears on FFXIII site News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Ellie Gibson

22 January, 2009

A new countdown clock has popped up on the website for Final Fantasy XIII.

At the time of writing, it's got just over six days and seven hours to run. "The countdown has begun," reads an accompanying message. "A new vision will soon be revealed to the world."

If this sort of thing gets you excited, now's the time to get involved. "Register now to ensure you're there for the unveiling," urges the message.

New trailer then? Yeah probably.

The PS3 version of FFXIII is due to launch in Japan this year, but Square Enix has said it won't reach Europe before April 2010 at the earliest. There's no word on when the Xbox 360 version is likely to arrive, either.

If you can read and speak Japanese, there is little point in getting the demo.
