COD: World at War maps this week News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Oli Welsh

4 August, 2009

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: World at War's third map pack will be released on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network on August 6th. That's this Thursday.

The previously-announced DLC features three multiplayer maps and a zombie map, as usual. It will cost 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80 / €9.60) on XBLA or £7.99 / €9.99 on PSN.

If previous form is to be followed it will appear later on PC, but for free.

I hope they do a pack like Gears 2 just did. That way people that haven't caught up can buy them all at once without shelling out so much. Possibly 2000 for the 3? Just a thought.

I like the look of the latest zombie map, that should be good for some fun.

After seeing COD:MW2 All interest in COD W@W and pretty much any other shooter has died a quick death, I just hope it plays as good as it looks just hope they do as many map packs as this one! ( then I'll have no reason to play the next Treyarch addition :D - lets face it if COD4 did some more map packs we'd all be playing that)

A fairly muted reponse here. Speaks volumes really.

Am still wracking up the days on cod:waw and tipping my hat to Treyarch for a steady (milked) stream of DLC but any excitement is being reserved for MW2.

/if only my stasis module wasn't broken they could wake me on Nov 11th.....
