Burnout Paradise's Big Surf Island dated
Jump in, up and all around in June.
Criterion Games has announced an 11th June release date for Big Surf Island on PS3 and Xbox 360.
This is the next beefy premium update for Burnout Paradise that finally offers a bridge out of the city to an area offering the biggest jumps in the game and a new sense of freedom. There's no word on cost, yet.
There's a lovely video of the content over on the official Criterion website.
Despite being released at the very beginning of 2008, Burnout Paradise continues to regularly expand as Criterion provides a shining example of what post-release DLC can offer.
Head over to our original Burnout Paradise review to see what the foundations were like, then cruise over to the official website for a list of what else is on offer.

This however is a definite purchase. What with the additional play area, events, freeburn and timed challenges AND 9 new vehicles, this should be value for money, unlike Cops and Robbers...

haven't bought any of the priced stuff yet but this should be worth it, judging by the their last vod/podcast it looks like a blast
on a side note, is it worth purchasing any of the retro cars, had my eye on the 'delorian' but not sure what it adds apart from a nice paint job

Just have to get round to finishing the original now. It's fine but I still prefer the pick up and play factor of the early games. Probably because I don't give a monkey's about achievements etc.

@danathjo: if you're going to get any of the DLC cars, that's the one to get! Looks awesome, has a hover mode, it's fast and can stand up to a fair bit of punishment!

How did they "Screw people over" they provided almost 2 years worth of FREE downloadable content before they started charging for unecessary but fun cars...
