Activision quiet on Guitar Hero II song packs
Nine more tracks rumoured.
RedOctane owner Activision has refused to comment on supposedly leaked details of the next round of Guitar Hero II downloadable content for Xbox 360.
The first downloadable packs offered three songs apiece, all plucked from the original Guitar Hero - and, if our old friend Internet Reports is reliably informed, then so will the next three.
He's taking cues from HarmonixFans.com, where it's said that Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell", Joan Jett & The Blackhearts' "I Love Rock & Roll" and Audioslave's "Cochise" are in pack one.
Pack two reportedly consists of Blue Oyster Cult's "Godzilla", The Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated" and ZZ Top's "Sharp Dressed Man", while pack three would be Black Sabbath's "Iron Man", Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" and Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water".
The site claims the information came its way through documents passed around Microsoft for certification. Unfortunately, when we caught up with an Activision spokesperson this morning to check the details and find out when we might expect new treats, we were given the old standard: "We do not comment on rumour and speculation".
To see what they do comment on, why not flick through last week's Guitar Hero III-focused interview with company president Kai Huang?

What is bloody wrong with selling the tracks individually?
Will be interesting to see what the pricing is this time around. I would be really surprised if they didn't react to public opinion on their previous price point.

roughly £4.30/500MS per pack for 3 songs is alittle steep. Roughly £2.50/300MS is more aggreeable... though I do hear alot of work goes into making these packs than one would think I'm afraid I'd be more aggreable to pay 300 points for 3 songs...

Still price these ones reasonably and I will no doubt pick them up.

If these rumoured packs are correct, that's now 3 individual songs I'd like to add to my collection, but they're all in different packs

Also if these new bundles are reasonable (i say 300 MSpoints, 100 per song is a good price all round) then the ones already up must come down in price aswell?
