YouTuber recreates The Phantom Pain's nine minute trailer in GTA5

"Kojima is god!"

Japanese YouTuber EV niconico has used Grand Theft Auto 5 to remake Hideo Kojima's stunning nine minute red band E3 trailer for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

The results are simultaneously epic and hilarious. Some parts match up with the original trailer quite well - like the torture scene - while others take certain creative liberties with the content. There's no way to produce medics removing a body bomb, for example, so instead an alien autopsy easter egg is used. It's goofy as all hell, but still syncs with the music surprisingly well.

It's a shame that the English translation isn't better with the word "stelth" rearing its ugly head on more than one occasion, but all is forgiven for the amazing caption card that reads "Kojima is god!" Now if only the actual Phantom Pain trailer boasted the same claim.
