Online co-op for MGS Peace Walker HD

No split-screen?

The PS3 and Xbox 360 remakes of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker support four-player co-op on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.

Series creator Hideo Kojima revealed the news this morning. He uploaded a photo of Peace Walker being played in the office on four separate monitors.

Kojima also noted that, "During loading, characters' dialogues pop up at random."

But whether Peace Walker HD will have split-screen co-op as well is currently unknown.

The transition from PSP onto PS3 and Xbox 360 has also brought Peace Walker 60 frames-per-second.

The PS3 and 360 remakes of Peace Walker are part of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

The standard Metal Gear Solid HD Collection includes Metal Gear Solid 2, MGS3, Peace Walker and Metal Gear 1 and MG2.

The Ultimate HD Collection adds Metal Gear Solid 1 and Metal Gear Solid 4 to the mix. That's available on PS3 at Zavvi for £70.

    What about 2's multiplayer? You know, the one where one player goes Raiden and the other player phones them constantly to ask if they remember what day it is and if King Kong climbed the Chrysler Building?

    Well, I'm glad that Konami are actually putting in online play for Peace Walker HD, seeing that it was stupid of them to not include it in the original PSP version.

    Oh and for local play, I think it was already stated that you can use multiple PSP's with the PS3 for co op, so it might not include splitscreen, unfortunately.

    If it has split-screen co-op I will buy it even though I already own all the games.

    @Lym

    Cheers. Was hoping it'd be in as I never had the PS2 network adaptor. Shame, but I won't miss it.

    Also think MGS1 is a PS3 exclusive, its just a code for the the PSN PS1 game not a remake at all (rumour is they are talking about a proper remake of that at somepoint all shiney and new), you also included MGS2 twice.

    shadowlp-MG1 and MG2 is not Metal Gear Solid 1 and Metal Gear Solid 2,they are the games that were released(and set) before Metal Gear Solid 1 and were originally released for the NES and MSX and then made a reappearance for the PS2 version of MGS3:Subsistence

    Time to get all the dogtags on MGS2 on European Extreme again. Well, as long as that difficulty is included.
