Warhammer 40k Kill Team announced
XBLA and PSN game out in July.
THQ has announced a downloadable Warhammer 40,000 game called Kill Team.
It launches on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network in July for 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99.
It's described as a fast-paced third-person arcade shooter, and includes a unique weapon unlock for upcoming home console game Warhammer 40k Space Marine.
If you complete the first mission in Kill Team you unlock the Power Sword for use in multiplayer in Space Marine. "Sheathed in a power field, it cuts through armour and flesh alike and features unique animations, combos and damage output," reads the official blurb.
In Kill Team, players assume the role of a Space Marine team sent to assault a giant Ork Kroozer en-route to an Imperial Forge World. A trailer is below.
Four classes are available, including ranged specialists the Sternguard Veteran and Techmarine, and the melee-focused Vanguard Veteran and Librarian.
Two-player same screen co-op is featured. Weapons are upgradeable and there are six "iconic" Space Marine chapters to select from. As long as the Space Wolves are in there somewhere, I'm happy.
Kill Team is developed by THQ Digital Studios UK – the same outfit behind the recent Red Faction: Battlegrounds downloadable title.

The article states same screen 2 player co-op, anyone know if thats its limit or is on-line co-op supported and if so with how many players? 4 players with one as each class would be great.

Imagine a game following the life time of, and it could be any chapter, a runt to hero dying in an epic battle and then being put into a dreadnought - last level is you coming back to fight with your brothers as a dreadnought.
In fact, f**k it. They could make some awesome films off this too. Come on - ENTERTAIN ME!!!!!!
