Lara Croft DLC finally hits Steam

All Challenge Packs now available.

All the DLC for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light has finally been made available to PC gamers, a good month or two after it appeared for console versions of the game.

You can download the following packs from Steam now for £1.99 each:

  • Legacy of Kain Character Pack – Grab a friend or go at it alone as Kain and Raziel from the Legacy of Kain games. The two iconic characters must work together to defeat a new threat in an unfamiliar world.
  • "All the Trappings" Challenge Pack 1 – Four new challenge maps filled with hordes of undead enemies and devious traps you must maneuver and exploit to survive.
  • "Things that Go Boom" Challenge Pack 2 – Four new explosive challenge maps featuring a variety of tense puzzles, deadly traps, and relentless combat encounters.
  • "Hazardous Reunion" Challenge Pack 3 – Four new challenge maps featuring mind-boggling puzzles, waves of intense combat action, and a fiery reunion with an old friend.

The Kane & Lynch Character Pack has also been added to the base game free of charge.

The Crystal Dynamics-developed Tomb Raider spin-off originally launched last summer, scoring 9/10 from Eurogamer's Keza MacDonald.

    That just leaves the Kane & Lynch Character Pack. We've been in touch with publisher Square-Enix to find out whether it will appear at a later date and will update if it responds.

    And yet Challenge Pack 2 STILL hasn't been released for the XBLA version!

    To be fair to them, they did correct it shortly afterwards. But still, I have no idea where they got their original post. The Steam news post that I referenced had been up for at least six hours before EG's one, so I assumed that's where they got it, but it always mentioned the K&L thing. Maybe EG just didn't spot it?

    I don't know why, but Steam is showing that I already own Costume Pack 1 (is this the Kane & Lynch one, the Legacy of Kain one or something else?) and Challenge Pack 2. I bought the game while it was cheap during the winter sale, so maybe they came with it (they did that with the Deluxe edition of ACII, which I also got in the Steam sale - should have cost £3.99, but they auto-added it when it came out on the 6th). Anyone know anything?

    @Alphathon - You get the Kane and Lynch Character pack for Free on all platforms, and the console/pc versions also got a challenge pack for free too. So its normal that you have 2 packs available without having paid for em.. god bless freebies eh?
