Peggle bounces onto PSP next week

Peggle, PopCap's classic pinball-meets-pachinko timewaster, is coming to PSP next week.

You'll be able to download the game from the PlayStation Store on Tuesday, priced $9.99. A UK price hasn't been confirmed yet.

The game's associate producer told the PlayStation Blog, "Our expert Peggle Institute Programmers were able to get the full, original Peggle Experience into your PSP.

"All the original Masters, challenges, and levels in adventure mode are here! There were some late nights and long meetings with Bjorn and Master Hu, but we got there!"

Honestly, if you don't have a copy of the game yet, you need to check yourself – it's an unfeasibly brilliant confection.

However, it's worth bearing in mind that the equally full-featured iPhone version comes in considerably cheaper at £1.79.

    No matter how much i play Peggle i never seem to get better. :(

    I have a few versions. Nothing beats the PC one really though.

    Also, it's worth pointing out that some of the people who click on a PSP article don't own an iphone so the price is likely to be a bit more than 1.79 once you're all signed up I should wager?

    Compared to the DS version the price is quite good no?

    @jonsaan, I'm not a betting man, but I'd wager there not to be many people who'd buy an iPhone just to play Peggle! Anyways, a while ago I was in two minds about whether to buy Peggle for my PSP or my iPhone. Though it looked a bit better on the PSP, it's my phone that's on my person almost all the time, so with the inflamed price for the PSP version, it was a no-brainer for the cheaper iPhone version.

    @jambii267, Don't look at the shot you're taking, look at the rebound of where it will go instead. ; )

    I have it on XBLA, great little game perfect when portable but i don't really think its worth $9.99 when can still play it on PC. Hell the PSP doesnt even have the edge of the screen anymore these days when see some phones (i have a HTC Desire personally).

    Anyone not own it? Most Android users, that's who. C'mon Pop Cap, stop making it an X10 Mini Pro exclusive.

    Too late!

    Looks like they left PSP till last as no-one'll buy it on there anyway.

    I grabbed the PS3 version when it was on special offer. I don't have an iPhone yet, but I remember buying the iPhone version for pennies a while back from the store.

    See - Apple have sold me a copy over a year ago, despite me NOT EVEN OWNING THE HARDWARE.

    That's how COMPELLING and UBIQUITOUS the App Store and iTunes prices are.

    I have peggle for PC, ipod touch and PS3 it's still good fun.

    Although I will say although the hardware is expensive at least the digi downloads and games on app store are the kind of price what see's impulse/easy buys as opposed to the archaic digi downloads of psp/live/psn etc

    Add in the constant 59p sales I mean 59p..
