The Rage Wireless Guitar Controller for Wii is being recalled because of faulty circuitry causing batteries to leak on and burn human beings that might have families.

Performance Designed Products, the mastermind behind the evil machinery, will have to take back 57,000 plastic guitars in order to make them safe, according to ConsumerAffairs (spotted by watchdog Kotaku).

The affected models are said to be blue and white and bought between June and September. PDP wants anyone who may be affected by this outbreak to go to the official website for a full refund.

We've not seen these Rage guitars in our local shops, but if we do, we'll take them out. We know a guy.
