John Lewis Man in the Moon Christmas advert has a mobile game tie-in

Loony.

The annual John Lewis Christmas advert has launched online today and there's an official John Lewis Christmas game to go with it.

This year's TV ad, titled Man in the Moon, centres on a young girl who brings presents to an elderly chap who would otherwise be lonely.

It's a lovely sentiment, although somewhat tempered by the fact that the ad is really just about convincing you to spend money.

Head to the App Store or Google Play on your iOS or Android device and you can now download a tie-in game.

It lets you send gifts earned via a vertically-scrolling mini-game, where you tap to dodge projectiles as you launch presents up into the atmosphere.

You can also snap photos of you and your friends next to a 3D moon via a special poster-activated AR mode. Johnny wasn't impressed.

If you haven't watched the advert yet, good luck avoiding it over the next couple of months and absolutely don't click the video below.
