Steam Borderlands buyers get DNF demo

Gearbox spreads the love.

Those who buy or have bought Borderlands through Valve's digital distribution service Steam will get a demo key for Gearbox's upcoming shooter Duke Nukem Forever.

Codes are also included in the Borderlands Game of the Year Edition, out this Friday in the UK.

Confirmation comes from Big Download, which said Steam Borderlands owners will get access to the DNF demo at the same time as Borderlands GOTY owners.

Unfortunately, Gearbox and publisher 2K Games are yet to date the demo. All we know is the demo, and the game itself, will be out next year.

On Monday Gearbox said the demo will be made available to all, so console owners should be in for some Duke demo fun, too - eventually.

Gearbox's marketeer Steve Gibson said people will be "surprised" by the demo, "at what we put in there and what happens with it".

Eurogamer went hands-on with Duke Nukem Forever last month.
