Rare XBLA game?

Original IP for 2007.

It seems gardening isn't the only the thing Rare can turn its hand to, as studio veteran Nick Burton confirms the team is working on an original IP for Live Arcade, due for release this year.

Whilst he was scarce on what exactly we could expect from the game, the senior graphical engineer revealed that he would be leading a team of 10, and it would retain the Rare style.

"It just feels like a Rare game," Burton attempted to explain to Edge magazine. "I don't know what that means exactly, but it just does."

So, seeing as that's all cleared up, you might want to head over and read why Bill Gates reckons Rare's most recent title, Viva Piñata, is for girls. Which it is, clearly.
