PSN maintenance Thursday afternoon through to early Friday morning

Sony's hard-hats will be performing PlayStation Network maintenance on Thursday afternoon.

The PlayStation Store and Account Management will drop out at 4pm GMT and won't return until around 4am GMT Friday morning, according to the European PlayStation blog.

Online gaming and apps will be accessible, however, providing you sign into PlayStation Network sometime between now and before the maintenance begins.

It's billed as "routine maintenance", so don't expect any flashy new features to be added.
