Steam Summer Sale is now live

@SurgicalOyster No, in the UK that is not how sales work. The 'Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations' enforced by the ASA prevents misleading advertising. There are quite specific rules on when you are allowed to say something is x% off.

Oh, I used it when I forget to take my turn or get distracted. I'll just need to start paying attention then!

Super Mario Galaxy is superb, but you can buy a brand new boxed copy for less than 17.99 (just, 17.35 on Amazon at the moment), and easily pick it up second hand for less than 10.

@cowell the bible itself does not (at least directly) refer to 'the devil' as a fallen Angel, this idea comes from extra-biblical sources. The existence of evil is a tricky theological issue though.

Source: I did a degree in theology, and I'm an RE teacher. Please don't hate me.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed review

I don't get it, I just tried playing the demo on XBox.. and it was dull. No instructions on how to drift etc (which is annoying), and an uninteresting level. I don't get the handling of the planes at all, and the boost challenge level was just frustrating. Maybe I just suck at it though.

WRC 3 review

One of the image captions got me thinking about using Wii U's tablet as the co-driver's notes, with the other player driving on the main screen without any on-screen markings. That would at least be something different in a rally game. Could work with PS3/Vita, or XBOX/Smart Glass too. I guess it would be fun a few times, but as soon as you have memorised the level, it would be a little redundant?

Digital Foundry goes hands-on with the new super-slim PS3

@Lolatron even if it DID let you swap discs (and I remember using a byro wedged into my original PS1 to play imports!), are people really going to risk the damage this would do, to play a PS1 game they can get for 3 on the PS Store (or whatever a PS2 game costs).

I recently jumped back into PS3 with a slim, after selling my original fatty many years ago. I'm glad I got the slim and didn't wait for this. It's not terrible, but on cost alone I don't see why you'd go for the super-slim if a slim bundle was still available to you.

@Ryze I wouldn't touch any of the original models at this point - too much risk of a yellow light at this point.

@darkmorgado that's just inaccurate then, the 4 constituent nations are all countries, as is the United Kingdom. Yea it may sound stupid, but that's what it is.

...in the region.
Scotland is a country, not a region.
