Far Cry 2's single-minded vision deserves to be remembered

Would love to have asked Pierre Rivest why there was never a patch just to turn the outpost respawn time a smidge. I don't think any mod managed to get a handle on that.

How NMS got all this shit is beyond me. Take a look at the Elite Dangerous original trailer (with added honesty)

Well done Hello Games, well done ASA for doing a reasonable investigation and well done for other developers that have got away with far worse.

For anyone miffed at NMS:
You should understand what pre-order is,
You should wait for reviews
Don't blame others for your own stupidity

Personally I've enjoyed NMS and ED.

I've thoroughly enjoyed ED & NMS but for those that did but everyone should know a pre-order is a gamble. I've never seen a larger case of passing the blame than this shitstorm. All the blame lies at their own stupid feet.

Did i mention that they're stupid?

I'd agree with @camo_kill comment. Wesley being pretty condescending to Bryan:

• a thin, gangly figure
• dressed in unremarkable smart casual garb.
• travelled by bus
• speaks slowly
• lacks confidence

Well, Wesley at least he's not wearing a bandana in 2015.

EA putting micro-transactions "into all of our games"

coastal

Apparently micro-payments in FIFA 13 has been pretty much sole responsible for the rise in PS3 accounts stolen. Not that I understand how that works - but that was the line the chap at Playstation Support in Ireland told me. So yes EA, i've thoroughly enjoyed and embraced my account stolen for some kid to play Ronaldo in go faster boots.

Google Nexus 7 Review

coastal

I've got one and it's lovely. The new library on jellybean is smooth - along with the rest of the interface. The Google Now (the cards thing) is a bit hidden away and could do with just taking up the entry home screen. But i'm sure there'll be a tweak or compatible widget.

Umm, it's lovely. I'm glad i didn't go for an iPad. 7 inches is still pretty heavy in the hand and I wouldn't anything more.

OnLive talks about the ins and outs of a console partnership

coastal

Onlive certainly suffers from plenty of unjust attacks imho. I've just played L. A. Noire & virtual tennis on my xperia play on my home wifi. There was a lag a couple of times but the defect is outweighed by the ease of use and the fact I can play these games at all on such a tiny client. Pricing could be more attractive but then they've got to pay for all the free to play trial stuff. If we all lived in a world with decent connection speeds then people would be lapping this kind of service up. That's not their fault and hopefully connection performance can improve. Sometimes I think people just don't like the concept of cloud gaming whereas they'll tolerate similar defects on other platforms. I can't really believe that some windows client software can alter a router's configuration. Without passing authentication how is it suppose to do that?
