PlayStation branded 3D telly, glasses

At affordable prices.

Sony, keen to bang the 3D drum, has announced two new 3D hardware products for gamers.

One is a PlayStation branded 3D display. It's 24 inches and has snazzy new technology that produces two images for two players rather than splits the screen. We'd like to see that in action.

The other product is a cheaper pair of 3D glasses, and they'll also be PlayStation branded.

Both products are due out this autumn.

A bundle containing the PlayStation 3D TV, PlayStation glasses, six-foot HDMI cable and copy of Resistance 3 will cost $499.

The glasses alone will cost $69.99.
