Level-5 working on Dark Cloud 3?

Well, they're doing something for Sony.

Japanese developer Level-5 is unsurprisingly working on a new RPG for Sony. The erstwhile developer of Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2 (known as Dark Chronicle over here and due out next month), Level-5 is a hotly sought after team, already constructing Dragon Quest VIII for Square Enix and True Fantasy Live Online for Microsoft.

Speculation has already begun as to what this new game could be, based on a teaser illustration published on the official site with a Sony copyright notice stamped along the bottom.

There is some debate that it might be the rumoured next instalment in the Dark Cloud series (which has grown from a reasonable but flawed RPG into something truly stunning if American reviewers are to be believed), but all we know at the moment is that it's an RPG asking us to "Enter the new world."
