FFVII remake on the cards?

Square Enix keeping mum. Still.

Rumours of a PlayStation 3 remake of Final Fantasy VII refuse to die, as Square Enix remains characteristically coy at the weekend's Square Enix Party.

The company again showed off its PS3 demo, highlighting a remade opening to the PlayStation classic, FFVII. When questioned, Square Enix refused to finalise plans regarding the demo's future, furthering speculation that a full game may yet be made after the positive reaction it garnered at this year's E3. The dirty tease.

Expect the speculation to run and run until the PS3 is finally launched early next year. And maybe well beyond then, given rumours of a remake go as far back as 2002. Sigh.
