Call of Duty: Heroes, a F2P mobile game, is out now

Strategy action hybrid sees the return of "Soap" MacTavish.

Call of Duty: Heroes, a free-to-play mobile strategy spin-off of the popular series, is out now on iTunes and Windows Phone.

Players will enlist the help of such series stalwarts as Capt. John Price, Sgt. John "Soap" MacTavish, and even a guy not named John with operative Mike Harper.

While much of the game is focused around building bases, training forces and setting up defenses, there's also an action component to it as well where you can take direct control of the aforementioned Johns and Mike or manually man a turret from a chopper.

Call of Duty: Heroes contains a single-player campaign, competitive multiplayer and a survival mode. You're also able to form alliances with friends and distribute troops to one another.
