UK Final Fantasy concert 'highly likely'

Square Enix hasn't quite made its mind up, but apparently we could see an orchestral Final Fantasy concert in the UK this year.

Square Enix says it's "highly likely" we'll see one of composer Nobuo Uematsu's Final Fantasy concerts in the United Kingdom this year, but final confirmation is still to come.

A Square Enix representative this morning said it's "highly likely that a Final Fantasy concert will take place in the UK this summer," but added that it's still "to be confirmed".

When quizzed about the possibility of bringing his orchestral FF concerts to Europe during a recent interview with this website conducted in London, Uematsu told us "We're sort of thinking about doing a tour next summer, but that's not for sure yet."

After virtually selling out San Francisco's Masonic Auditorium for his "Dear Friends" performance this month (a review of which can be found here), Square Enix announced this week that a second US concert will take place during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

More details (and links for those of you after tickets) can be found in a separate report elsewhere on the site.
