New batch of EA screenshots

Come on. You know you want it.

We often while away the hours thinking about how nice it would be to live in California, where the sun always shines, Schwarzenegger rules and the local Costcutters are populated not with local chavs but with the likes of Harrison Ford and Carmen Electra stocking up on Smirnoff Ice, lighter fluid and scratch cards.

And today we're feeling particularly wistful, since its time for Electronic Arts to host the annual One Hot Summer Night event, where they show off a load of forthcoming games and give away a load of free beer.

But we'll just have to be content with a whole bunch of new screenshots and try to pretend they make up for not meeting Seth off of The O.C. and asking him what George Lucas is really like and if he fancies going out for a drink or something some time yeah no just as friends of course yeah we didn't mean it like that obviously.

Anyway, first up are some new screens from Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, the new expansion for the popular PC combat sim about which we informed you yesterday.

Then we've got pics from Burnout Revenge, the EA game even EA haters are looking forward too (well, some of them at least), and The Sims 2: Nightlife. Interesting fact: not all girls like The Sims. Trust us.

Harry Potter fans might like to while away the hours before the new book is finally launched by checking out these screenshots from movie tie-in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which sees Speccy, Swotty and Ginge getting up to all their usual magic tricks.

Last but not least we have some more screenshots of Lionhead Studios' Black & White 2 for you.

So there you have it - war, cars, nightclubs, wizards, and giant monkeys. Is there anything else in life worth bothering with? Well, apart from THAT, obviously.
