ECTS 2003: Ubi Soft's line-up

Princes, superheroes and secret agents.

Ubi Soft has announced its line-up for ECTS 2003 this year, and confirmed which titles will appear inside the neighbouring PlayStation Experience consumer event.

Sadly there's no sign of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow or the new EverQuest titles, and the absence of the two Harvest Moon titles will probably leave the hardcore seething, but otherwise it's a fairly complete reflection of the publisher's efforts for the rest of this year and early next.

Top title on the day will be Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, backed by Michel Ancel's Beyond Good & Evil, cel-shaded FPS XIII (making yet another trade show appearance), the Xbox Rainbow Six 3 title and Island Thunder standalone expansion, Far Cry, and online adventure URU: Ages Beyond Myst.

Meanwhile, next door in the PlayStation Experience gamers will be able to try Prince of Persia, Beyond Good & Evil, XIII, the recently released Charlie's Angels, Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Managing Director Alain Corre believes Ubi Soft's line-up is amongst their strongest ever.

"We've invested heavily in our games development over the past couple of years, and our Christmas line-up is the culmination of that investment," he said in a statement. "We've never been in a stronger position to enter the busiest quarter of the year, and we're very excited about the range of titles we're exhibiting at the show."

Ubi Soft has a history of taking ECTS by the scruff of the neck and letting people get stuck into all their best titles, and this year looks like no exception.
