Steam updated

Friends list, defrag option.

With Half-Life 2: Episode One due out today, Valve's released a quick update to the Steam download system - including the reintroduction of a Friends system for sending "ZOMG" to fellow players.

The changes will apply themselves when you next run Steam, and along with a Friends list, there's also now a file defrag option - much needed, some would probably argue - and sorts out a few minor problems, like one where backup created files too large for some CD burning software to handle.

This won't be the only thing we download on Steam today, hopefully - and those of you eagerly awaiting Half-Life 2: Episode One's release can help pass some of the time by checking out our review, which went up this morning.
