Gravitronix for Wii Software

Nintendo's XBLA, PSN.

Developer Medaverse Studios has announced on its forums that it is creating a game called Gravitronix for the Wii Software initiative.

Turn your minds back a bit and you'll remember this is Nintendo's plan to plop original and new creations in the Wii Shop for you to download, like on Live Arcade and PlayStation Network - but hoping to inspire a little more creativity with its motion-sensing controls.

The purposely enigmatic scattering of details for Gravitronix paint it as an action game where you'll battle up to three of your friends (possibly eight total) in one big, single-screen arena. Winning will mean firing projectiles around, each a different shape and with different physical properties you'll need to take into mind to get the best out of them.

Medaverse also promises Gravitronix will have a deep and detailed control scheme, and feature a difficulty curve that will reward persistent players with skills so impressive others will stop and stare. Trailers and screenshots are expected in the coming weeks.

Gravitronix joins Plattchen: Twist 'n' Paint as the second title on the Wii Software list

Unfortunately Nintendo Europe was unavailable to comment on suggested dates and prices for the games, but has previously said we won't see new games until early 2008.
