Project Earth 2 announced

Due out this year

Source: IGN

City Interactive has unveiled Project Earth 2, the sequel to last year's space-based Homeworld clone, which we weren't so happy with. PE2 promises a new physics engine and an overhauled interface to name but a couple of things.

According to the official website, Project Earth 2's storyline will give it significant individuality, with a story that focuses on a group of unjustly exiled humans driven to prove their innocence. Well yes, golly, that's inspiring.

Apparently those under the player's command are exactly like him or her, which allows the player to identify easily with the protagonists.

Project Earth 2 is due out in Q4 2003.
