Vice City soundtrack gets Euro exclusives

Sony's official PlayStation 2 website carries news that the European release of the seven-disc Vice City soundtrack set will includes bonus tracks exclusive to the region. The box set, which is quite reasonably priced at £29.99, features a bevy of 80s music perfectly suited to the on-screen carnage, based on our hours with the game thus far. After all, there's nothing better to sooth your nerves as you whiz, Uzi-wielding, down narrow alleys on a Faggio motor scooter than the sound of Billie Jean blaring out of your speakers.
The Euro-exclusive tracks feature on four of the game's radio stations; V-Rock (hosted by Lazlow), Wave 103, Flash FM (hosted by Flashback FM's Toni, who you may well remember for her witless reminiscing) and Fever 105, and include work from Quiet Riot, Loverboy, Animotion and others. Other bonuses include more DJ ranting and those ever-enjoyable 'commercials'. Rockstar hasn't been tempted to quickly shovel licensed music onto the DVD and then leave the rest off - in fact, Vice City cuts fewer corners than your Grandad's F-reg Fiesta.
