Virgin births delayed

Latest UK release information from Virgin Interactive, including slippage for promising titles "Gunlok" and "Original War"

Virgin's latest release schedule just arrived in the mail this morning, with more delays for the British publisher's impressive line-up of games. First past the post is "Gunlok", which isn't expected in stores until December 8th now, despite the fact that we were told that the game was complete and a gold master on its way to the factory two weeks ago. The game was certainly looking like a winner when we last saw it though, and hopefully there will be no more delays now that is finished...

Meanwhile both the latest installment in the long running Worms series, "Worms World Party", and promising looking real-time strategy game "Original War" have slipped from December releases all the way back to February 23rd. Most bizarrely though, action-strategy game "Giants" has been brought back from a January 5th release to December 22nd, meaning that it may still appear on shelves just in time for Christmas. We can but hope... Other prominent slippers include "Virtual Pool 3" (December 1st), off-road racer "Screamer 4x4" (December 15th) and Star Trek strategy game "Star Fleet Command 2" (December 22nd).

Last but not necessarily least, cutesy platform game "Kao The Kangaroo" has slipped by two weeks to December 8th, presumably because Virgin haven't been able to catch the Lewisham kangaroo for their publicity drive yet...
