The Future Of Windows Gaming

Last week EuroGamer's John "Gestalt" Bye was one of a handful of journalists let into Microsoft's Windows Game Developers Conference at the Hilton Metropol in London, and over the next few weeks we will be bringing you a series of articles about the next version of DirectX.

To kick things off though, this week's article takes a look at the future of gaming on your Windows based PC, as seen by Microsoft. Subjects covered include an outline of DirectX8, the importance of the Windows Hardware Quality Lab, the next big version of Windows (code-named Whistler), the X-Box and much much more. For the full scoop, read "The Future Of Windows Gaming"!
