Yes, Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD Remaster features Dante from the Devil May Cry series

Dante from Devil May Cry makes a guest appearance in Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD Remaster, Atlus has confirmed.

The trailer below shows Dante in the post-apocalyptic role-playing remake. He's a DLC guest character.

Dante's inclusion in the original PS2 RPG Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne, aka Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call in Europe, spawned a meme after European publisher Ghostlight slapped a big old "featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry series" sticker on the box - despite the gun-toting demon-hunter playing a minimal role in the story. The idea, clearly, was to make the niche Shin Megami Tensei RPG more appealing to western PS2 owners who likely knew who Dante was.

Ever since the 2005 release of Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call, fans and even Atlus staff have poked fun at the sticker.

Atlus announced the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch remaster just last month, and fans had wondered whether Dante would turn up. Well, he will! Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne HD Remaster launches in Europe at some point in 2021.
