Codemasters is making a Micro Machines-style racer called Toybox Turbos.

The 90s retro-style game is due out on Windows PC via Steam priced Ł11.99, and is "coming soon" to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as a download from the Xbox Games Store and PlayStation Network.

Toybox Turbos includes 18 circuits inspired by childhood locations, Codemasters said, such as a kitchen table, a school table and a railway set.

There's four-player local and online multiplayer, and 35 vehicles, such as sports cars, dragsters, taxis, ice cream vans, milk floats and moon buggies.

Gameplay footage is below.
