Ubisoft revives EndWar with F2P browser game for PC and Mac

EndWar Online a "next-generation browser game".

RTS EndWar is back, this time as a free-to-play browser game for PC and Mac.

EndWar Online is developed by Ubisoft Shanghai, creator of the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 strategy game you could play with your voice. EndWar Online has real-time battles, HQ and army management and community-based wars.

You play the last leader in the aftermath of WW3, a time when resources have run dry and the world is in tatters. You have to rebuild your homeland and fight for the remaining resources.

The factions are the high-tech European Enforcers and Russia's Spetsnaz, who favour brute force tactics. There's single-player and player versus player challenges.

"We have been looking for a way to bring EndWar back to its fans and have found an accessible way with Tom Clancy's EndWar Online," said Thomas Painšon, EMEA free-to-play publishing director at Ubisoft.

"By offering gameplay directly in browsers, we hope old fans and new alike will enjoy this new EndWar experience and join in the quest to lead their faction to victory."

EndWar is currently in closed beta. You can put your name down for a key over at the official website.
