Ex-Gears of War and Fortnite designer Lee Perry has announced his new mobile game and the formation of his new studio, BitMonster Games.

BitMonster has signed a deal with Epic Games to use Unreal Engine 3 for a number of titles, the first of which is Lili. It's an adventure game RPG hybrid in which Lili uses an "amusing non-combat system" to deal with enemies. Lili is due out on iOS devices in the coming weeks.

Perry said: "Epic has been extremely supportive of our new studio and in helping us build the game of our dreams.

"We set out to create an adventure that is appropriate for nearly anyone. As a designer, it's exciting to see that the Unreal Engine 3 tools are better than ever, and they provide everything we need to achieve a gratifying and imaginative experience."

Bit monster is made up of six senior developers "who headed out to explore the world of indie game development". It's also making games for PC. The first screenshots for Lili lie below.
