WWE All Stars announced for 3DS

Exclusive modes for portable version.

A 3DS version of WWE All Stars steps into the ring on 25th November, publisher THQ has announced.

Developed by THQ's new San Diego studio, it's a portable take on the arcadey grappler that launched on PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 earlier this year.

In addition to a beefy roster of WWE staples such as John Cena, The Rock, Andre The Giant and Stone Cold Steve Austin, the game also includes 13 of the additional DLC characters made available to console users since launch.

Not only that, but 3DS users also get two exclusive game modes. Gauntlet Mode sees players attempt to battle every fighter on the roster, while Score Scramble Mode challenges players to either reach a specific point total or to finish a timed match with the highest point total.

"WWE All Stars has shown incredible promise in THQ's WWE portfolio with an original gameplay experience and a very attractive roster for hardcore and casual WWE fans," commented THQ core games boss Danny Bilson.

"We feel this gameplay experience and over-the-top energy will translate well to a handheld format and are pleased to offer WWE All Stars on Nintendo 3DS this fall."

The console version scored a commendable 7/10 from Eurogamer's Tom Bramwell back in March.

"The game's pitch was always to offer accessible, even-more-ridiculous fun that would mix up Legends and Superstars. If that's all you want, it delivers," read his WWE All Stars review.
