EG Expo to host world record attempt

And help gaming charity Special Effect.

Fancy helping set a new Guinness World Record? We're attempting to break two at this year's Eurogamer Expo.

We've teamed up with gaming charity Special Effect to try and smash the world record for the fastest lap in a racing game using eye-movement sensing controllers.

By participating, you'll also help our second world record attempt - the greatest number of people competing in a video game tournament using only eye control technology.

Charity Special Effect works with the eye control technology to improve quality of life for those with disabilities.

Simply register at the Special Effect stand to take part. Friendly clipboard-wielding officials from the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition will get you started from there.

Eurogamer's Rupert Loman has already pledged to take part: "We're delighted that Special Effect are going to be showcasing the amazing work they do at the Eurogamer Expo once again," he said. "Everyone should check out what they are doing and get involved!"

Eurogamer Expo 2011 takes place at London's enormous Earls Court One between 22nd and 25th September.

In case you've forgotten, EG Expo is the UK's biggest and best gaming event, set to welcome 30,000 gamers through the doors.

Head to www.eurogamerexpo.com for entry - Saturday currently has 81 tickets left.
