ModNation Racers announced for Vita

Brand new racer for Sony's portable.

ModNation Racers is on its way to PlayStation Vita, Sony has announced.

Developer United Front took to the stage to show off the new version of its 2009 PlayStation 3 DIY racer.

It promised an entirely new game – not a port – built from the ground up to take advantage of the new handheld's features.

While creating your own tracks, you'll be able to draw your circuit on the touch screen with your finger, raise terrain using the rear touch panel or create depressions by rubbing the screen.

You'll also be able to bring over millions of tracks and cars created for the PlayStation 3 version when the game launches next year.
