Hackers attack Nintendo servers
No harm done though, says company.
Cheer up, Sony! It's not just you hackers are having a pop at - turns out Nintendo recently took a bullet too. Or rather, dodged one.
According to Reuters, Nintendo has admitted its US servers were attacked "several weeks ago". However, the ruffians failed to make off with any personal data.
"The server contained no consumer information," the company said in a statement. "The protection of our customer information is our utmost priority... We constantly monitor our security."
Hacker group Lulzsec has claimed responsibility for the attack, tweeting: "Re: Nintendo, we just got a config file and made it clear that we didn't mean any harm. Nintendo had already fixed it anyway."
Lulzsec has previously taken responsibility for the recent attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment, along with PBS TV and Fox.com.
