Extreme Beach Soccer

Well, okay, not really

Wanadoo seems incredibly excited about Pro Beach Soccer, a new arcade sports title developed by fellow Frenchmen Pam Development. The game is aimed at football fans and arcade gamers alike, and apparently combines "a wide variety of acrobatic feats with a sound and light extravaganza" - blimey.

There is much boasting about the game's pick-up-and-play control system, despite allowing the player to pull off some quite incredible feats. Aside from the usual chips, slides and volleys, button combinations can perform special aerial assaults on the goal.

The game takes place in four different locations, Rio, Marseilles, Venice Beach and Bangkok, and the Tour mode will have you take on 32 teams across all four. For a more short-term challenge, the arcade survival mode will put you up against 14 teams in a row.

Wanadoo releases Pro Beach Soccer on the 27th May for PC, Xbox, PS2 and GameBoy Advance.
