Sega toys set for Happy Meals

Only in America

Sega and McDonald's have joined forces to bring American tykes Sega themed toys with their Happy Meals. Toys from both Sonic The Hedgehog and Super Monkey Ball will be given away starting in the summer as part of the bargain kids meal.

McDonald's US marketing director Karlin Linhardt said the company is looking forward to a "great reaction" from consumers, describing the toys as "innovative". "Sega's properties are extremely popular and we look forward to bringing them to McDonald's consumers through this unique happy meal offering."

It is not known if the promotion will be extended to include other Sega titles at this point, or if the Sega Happy Meals will be introduced in Europe. McDonald's promises to reveal more details about its relationship with Sega "at a later date".
