Nintendo launches Player's Choice in Europe

Luigi, Pikmin and Smash Bros. kick off budget efforts

Nintendo is to launch its Player's Choice range of budget Cube games in Europe. Starting April 4th, Cube owners will be able to pick up the likes of Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Pikmin for "an estimated retail price of around 30 Euros".

This is good news for Cube owners and puts Nintendo on a similar price footing as Sony for budget titles. Plus, all three of the above titles really are quite indispensable at that price.

We can of course expect more games to join the Player's Choice range in the next few months. Prime candidates would be Wave Race: Blue Storm (which we're surprised isn't there from the start anyway) and NBA Courtside 2002. And, if there are to be third party titles, one would expect Rogue Leader to join the list.
