Hunter finds sequel

Complete with silly name!

High Voltage Software has confirmed that development of a sequel to Hunter: The Reckoning is underway. Despite having cleaned up the sleepy town of Ashcroft some two years ago, the four Hunters are thrust back into action when a new, cult menace begins to permeate the streets and threaten the peace and tranquility of this peculiarly warped American town.

Continuing the story, the appallingly named 'Hunter: The Reckoning Wayward' will appear on PS2 this summer, and promises predictably nondescript updates like an "all new story, gameplay features, weapons and terrifying monsters".

Unfortunately, with Virgin's ongoing problems (i.e. the inability to release games), it could be quite a while before we see Wayward ourselves. But in the meantime, Hunter fans can enjoy themselves in the company of these five screenshots.
