SCEE Jinxes PSone

New third-person adventure game from Hammerhead

SCEE has released the first details of Jinx, a third-person adventure in development at Hammerhead, whose previous work includes PlayStation ports of Blade and Quake II.

Jinx is apparently a failed magician, the son of a powerful wizard, who now works as a court jester for King Mamooset XIV. The plot sees Jinx wake one morning to find the world in chaos - a group of pirates led by Captain Gripply has attacked the land of Ploog, turning friend against friend with a powerful spell, and to add insult to injury the pirates have kidnapped the royal family and scattered members of the court across the game world.

Seems like an adequate setup for a third-person adventure, doesn't it? Jinx is unaffected by the pirates' spell, and the player will guide the failed magician through various quests, solving puzzles and rescuing royals across six themed realms, each comprising three levels.

Release info is thin on the ground, but SCEE has released a set of early screenshots.
