Not satisfied with releasing their full contact action game "Oni" on both PC and PlayStation 2, Take 2 have announced a special "prequel" mini-game will soon be available at wap.oni-game.com for mobile phone users with WAP-enabled handsets. You don't believe us? We have the first screenshots of the game in action to prove it! The prequel was designed by WAP specialists Quantum Sheep, and features Konoko battling a training simulator, complete with anime-style animations and briefing cutscenes.
"Despite the limitations of the mobile format, Quantum Sheep has done a fantastic job of creating a game which is not only easy to pick up and play, it doesn't require players to be connected to their service providers for an age", according to Take 2's head of international marketing, Rachel England. And with the PlayStation 2 version of Oni due to launch on March 9th, it seems that the fun isn't over yet. "We've yet another superb and unique service launching to coincide with the PlayStation 2 release."
