Eidos in take over bid ?

Publishers of the popular (and profitable) Championship manager seriers and the queen of PR and spin Lara Croft, Eidos are reported to be in early stage talks which could lead to an offer for the company. Eidos has struggled this year and issued a series of profit warnings, reflecting problems in adapting to the next generation of gaming platforms.

Eidos shares built on earlier gains following the announcement to stand 18.6 percent up on the day at 510 pence, valuing the company at 498 million pounds. The next question is who wants a big games developer and publisher and has 500 million quid handy!
