Now promise you'll get back to work on BG&E 2 after Legends before my love turns into an unhealthy obsession which will clearly result in nefarious consequences.
"I was playing the game last night, and I had this moment not with Ellie but with Tess, but I didn't realize it was the last bullet in my shotgun. My back's up against the wall, and I realize I'm dead - and then all of a sudden this gunshot comes out of nowhere, and I look up and it's Tess. And I felt that was awesome - I felt like I had a partner in there."
Because there's an AI development/levelling up system and Tess reacted accordingly to her abilities or because it was coded in to save the player if he's about to die and ammo is available on her weapon? Reply-3
He is good but i'm seeing none of his Deadpool in what i've seen so far. Admittedly it is a game and the writing influence will be minimal but still not feeling the 'Pool. Reply-1
These guys don't get Deadpool at all. They've got the violence down right but none of humour or how often writers use Deadpool as a conduit to ridicule the comic book industry. Such a great chance to transport Deadpool into a video game universe fully self aware of this fact and ridicule the video game industry.
That's what Deadpool would have done and has done several times over in the comics. He's been used to ridicule the media, TV, movies, the world in general. The studio had a prime chance to do the same here but as usual these days, lack a vision.
For all of Deadpool's insanity, his observations are usually spot on and incisive. Default to sexist humour and horrible Americanised self-aware jokes is not Deadpool. :/
No one else notices how much Deadpool hates himself as well (Not recently though). Half his personality is devoted to blocking his self-hatred. Hence the incessant crazyness.
Capcom have more Deadpool in their Deadpool than this entire game. Reply+5
Publishers like them. We're just used to them. Watch the general appreciation of Eurogamer go up even more once review scores are removed as they seem to follow no set pattern anyway. Reply0
I like your work Rob. This wasn't among the best though. Maybe its just me but there's an undercurrent of some serious disappointment at the gaming industry running through this.
Probably just me the content within the content thing does scream about the general lack of interesting and new things to discuss and talk about in the gaming industry.
Games like Tokyo Jungle are few and far between these days unless you're an avid follower of the indie scene. It says a lot that our gaming tastes are for the most part dictated by publishers and we're complicit in it (I'm practically frothing at the mouth for Assassins Creed 3 even though I know it'll be virtually the same game as the previous 3). We wouldn't have articles like this otherwise but then if we didn't have columns like this the world would be a dreary place. :) Reply0
Aside from the rather curious description of "console quality development" for a PC f2p game this looks promising. F2P games are a very iterative process (Look how careful Valve are being with Dota 2) but I expect Crytek will find their footing before long. This is barely even a beginning, more like a warm up. 1995-2001 is a generation that will never happen again. The greatest line up of games across every platform, especially the PC and the last era when great arcade games were being made. Reply+28

You can play BioShock Infinite's ultra hard 1999 Mode without completing the game
Because quicksave/load is worse than checkpointing? I'd say its better. At least the former gave you control over when you saved. Reply +4
