|Maybe someone got the wrong end of the stick, I don't know. I don't play Fifa games on the Wii. However, it looks as if EA are repackaging last years game and selling it again at full price. If this is true, this is surely a scam. You can't legally get away with doing this, can you? At least without making it crystal clear.|
Fifa 13 on Wii might be Fifa 12 with new titles
Ignore what I had as my first paragraph, reading comprehension fail!
Sure, they could've done something from scratch, but would it really have been a substantially different game? More likely it'd just have been financially irresponsible given the size of the target audience. They could also have not bothered, but there is some money still to be made. Low development costs keep it profitable. It's a bit mean of them, but as a business decision it makes sense.

Is it just me that read that as "tities"
This is more about EA taking Fifa 12, changing the menus and releasing it as Fifa 13 on the Wii. Fucking disgusting really if it is exactly the same engine / AI and codebase.

We already knew this though, they've never hidden it. When FIFA 12 was done, they took that and started the Wii U development. It makes business sense, as you've done the legwork and only have to focus on making it work well on the new format.

Oh yeah, go ahead and quote me while I was busy editing it!
@Ilovechips Clearly that is true. All I meant to (clumsily) say is that this might be exactly the same game with redesigned menus, new cover art and a higher price tag. And that is a fucking scandal, specifically because yearly sports games are often accused of being nothing other than roster updates and minor changes,

Reminds me of the yearly occurrence for Fifa on the Nintendo DS.
